More Change

Well, I kept searching and I found a new template background that I like. The other one I posted about was only up for a few hours. (Yes, I know- I should have gone to bed earlier because my son woke early and now I am awake and he is asleep again!) This one is a little easier on the eyes and a pleasant look. I wanted something a little more wild and fun, but also simple-- and I don't think those things go together. They are pretty contradictory, aren't they?! You may also notice that I have changed the title and description. When I started this blog, 4 years ago this month, it was because I wanted a place to personally ramble about life. Since then, Sam and I have added one dog, one daughter, one son and a new state. ....almost in that order!.... So I thought the title needed to reflect the change in our family and in the blog. More changes to come! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Change is Hard

I know- you've just popped on and noticed that I changed the blog. Sorry if you don't like it- I am, really! I don't want you to stop by and hate the new look. I like it, but I actually am looking for something a little more simple and clean looking. I liked the plain black, it just got a little old and boring for me! So- I'll keep this cool and hip new background until I find something new---will keep looking.......

Vacations

We have been on vacation in our household. First to WI as a family and then I took off with Trevor for our first Mother-Son trip to Florida while Sam and Reagan held the fort at home. I am actually still gone, but will be home later this week. Just wanted to make a quick update and let everyone know that we are still here and haven't forgotten about the blog- although I know it seems that way.

I hate to blog without a pic, so I decided to throw one up here that my bro took of he, Amy and I the other day on the 4th of July in fact! We were walking to the car with the three of us, Trevor, Nohah and Grandma and Grandpa M and we got stopped by a train. We looked at a sign at the little pub we were stopped in front of and they were having a shot and beer special for $2. Well, we just couldn't resist a sale, so we left the babies with their grandparents, ran inside- documented the joyous occasion on David's camera phone, *enjoyed* our beverages (of pbr and cheap whiskey) and ran back outside to continue about our day. Boy do I love life!

It's very sad.

It's very sad that I haven't made more then one post in the entire month of May. I am a bit shocked. In fact, I am quite disappointed.

I am falling into my groove with being a Business Owner, Artist, Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Aunt........ Being tugged a million places and yet, having the ability and JOY of being able to be stretched in each way. It's just a learning curve. Learning how to stretch, bend and bow to each way.

This being said, I will be trying very hard to update more regularly again. I love my blog and I love to write and keep friends and family informed about our lives. I may be a little slow to start back up again because we will be going on vacation to Wisconsin soon and I am sad to say that although it is sure to be a fun trip, I won't be able to see many of my friends that live throughout the state. We are so happy that we will be able to make our family reunion for 3 days with my family and then with Sam's family for 3 days. Not NEARLY enough time, but then again it never is. We fly into MN and will be able to hit up a little shopping at the Mall of America, so that will be quite a treat! (for the girls anyways!) So- when I return I will begin my regular posting again and no more of this slacking!!!

Patience

I am so sorry I haven't updated the blog. I have been getting shouted at on many levels about this- and believe me- I hate it that I've not done any new updates! I CAN tell you this- they are coming and in the works.

We have had LOTS of technology changes here at the Daane Household and I am trying to keep up with our new pace. We have had 3 of 4 computers in the "shop". I have also gone MAC! You know they say...once you go Mac you never go back! (We are already planning how we will be converting our household of computers to all be Mac's over the next several years. (Not an inexpensive affair I might tell you!)

I love my new Mac. Had a snafoo with the first one- so they upgraded me to the brand new GREEN aluminum body version. Wow! I am still getting used to it and will be studying hard on how to use all of the new features that Apple has to offer.

The kids- well, they are fabulous! They are crawling around together as we speak and having races in the living room. R loves her brother so much and he totally adores her. Whenever we say her name he lights up like it's the best this that's ever happened. (Crawling into the kitchen and circling the island.) Laughing, laughing, laughing. THAT is the best present a Mother could ever want. Happy Healthy Babies.

See you soon! (Thanks for not giving up on me!)

Funny Children

I have to start writing down these funny things that happen... (actually I do- just not on the blog- I will try to be better about this.)

Reagan just told me not to touch her eye ball, that it would be very bad.  (As I type it it isn't nearly as funny as it was when she said it, but there you go!)

Trevor is squishing up his nose and face and it is so funny!  I taught Reagan and he to do this, but when R was smaller she did it differently.  Trev's is so much more dramatic!  I got some pics yesterday- will get there soon.

Happy Tax Day!

Painting Toes and Hangin' Out

Our little girl wanted her toes painted- so I did it! It is a very pale pink but she thought it was the coolest thing ever. Trev is doing great. He is so chill and very go-with-the-flow. This is especially good since we stay pretty busy! Yesterday we were at R's playgroup. Trev just sat and watched everyone. Poor kid- he wants to be out playing so much. It's only a matter of time before he is up and running. He is already crawling very well, pulling himself up and standing and growing into such an adventurous little boy. Where is my baby going???? (More with him later!)

Poor Sick Babies

My little babies- they just break my heart when they aren't feeling well. Trevor had already gone to bed tonight when I pulled out the camera. I have a new attachment to my flash that I wanted to use so R got to be the little model- doesn't she look so sad! I hate it when my babies are sick- they both have terrible colds. T is on the upswing and R is just starting to get it.
